You will be aware that GSM for System Center Operations Manager 2012 SP1 is RTM.
This Blog details for the GSM release.
The article on the Blog site I have included reads wrong. “GSM is provided by Microsoft as a benefit of SA. If you have a system Center License, you can use GSM free of charge“
So is it free or SA only? Whilst I know it was for SA only thought I would contact Microsoft for some clarity.
The following details the reply:
“GSM will be provided as a SA benefit, not as a purely ‘free’ service.
System Center Server MLs with active SA need to be assigned to all the servers associated with delivering the web-facing application / URL. A simple example would be a 3-tier app (database, business logic, web); all tiers need Server MLs with SA, then GSM can be used against that web-facing app.
I will follow up with the content owner to see if we can improve the web page clarity.”
